The Colorado Polling Institute (CPI) elevates the public dialogue and promotes informed decision making through timely, trustworthy public opinion research on the most important issues facing Coloradans.
CPI is nonpartisan, nonprofit and dedicated to accuracy, independence and transparency.
CPI is funded by Colorado civic, philanthropic & business leaders independent of any campaign or political party.
CPI is a 501c3 organization (status pending).

David Carlson, Founding CEO & Advisory Board Member
Social entrepreneur, investor and CPI founder David Carlson is a proud lifelong Coloradan.
David received a BA in Economics from Colorado College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
TeRay Esquibel, Advisory Board Member
TeRay Esquibel is a DPS graduate, Daniels Fund Scholarship recipient, and DU grad. TeRay dedicated his career to removing barriers for his community to thrive. TeRay has held multiple positions within Denver to that purpose always with a focus on authentic connections within the community.
Kendra Black, Advisory Board Member
As a Denver City Council member, non-profit leader, or volunteer—Kendra Black has worked her entire career to improve her southeast community, Denver, the region and the state. She is committed to ensuring that Denver keeps moving in a positive direction for all people and our planet.
Kendra earned a BA in Political Science and History as well as an MA in History from the University of Colorado.
Tyler Sandberg, Senior Advisor
Veteran Republican political consultant Tyler Sandberg has been involved in Colorado politics for nearly 14 years, with experience working on over 200 campaigns in six countries and two dozen states.
He holds a BA from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and currently lives in Lakewood.
Curtis Hubbard, Senior Advisor
Curtis Hubbard is the Principal and Owner of OnSight Public Affairs, a Democratic consulting and communications firm. He has led multiple successful statewide ballot initiatives and managed numerous public policy and communications initiatives around electoral reforms and government accountability; conservation and outdoor recreation; technology; and health care. Prior to joining OnSight in 2013, he spent 20 years as a journalist in Wyoming and Colorado, culminating as Editorial Page Editor of the Denver Post.
